Anything Worth Having

What is it in your life that's calling you to a pursuit you'd rather avoid? Where are you settling for subpar because your addiction to comfort and familiarity has run rampant in your life? What do you wish you could do but resist trying because you're sure you'd fail? What dream have you given up on because you no longer believe it can be a reality for you?

Your history and experiences may be unique, but your excuses are not. When you were born, you were designed to overcome every challenge and tragedy in your life so that you may experience abundance. Every time you get closer to living the desires of your heart, it is no coincidence that all hell tries to break loose.

Anything worth having will meet strong opposition from strangers, experts, friends, and/or family. It's not personal or malicious; it's just a strategy of your spiritual enemy to discourage you from fulfilling God's purpose for your life. Recognize it, adjust your mindset, pray and press forward--despite the lack of support. Anyone who has ever accomplished anything significant will tell you that opposition (even from the most unlikely sources) is a part of innovation and progression. If it does not contradict God's word and you have at least one godly person cheering you on, run with that!

Anything worth having requires discipline. If it was easy to have, then everyone would have it. Craig Groeschel said, "It's the things no one sees that bring what everybody wants." Plain and simple, the prize goes to the one who endures the race.

Anything worth having requires the wisdom to keep it. There is truth to the saying, "A fool and his money will soon part." Actually, a fool is soon to part from anything of value if (s)he doesn't have the wisdom to keep it. Ignorance is NOT bliss, and you don't know everything. Seek God for wisdom; all you need will be provided for you.

You've heard it before, anything worth having is worth fighting for. Don't forgo the reward by passively witnessing the very thing you desire being robbed from you. Resisting the attack sends the opposition into a burned-out retreat. The enemy hates worship, and he hates God's word. Use both of these as your weapons as you she-warrior your way through. As a child of The Most High God, you already have the victory, but it's your job to exercise your faith to hold on to it. You don't have to make any attempts alone. Draw all your strength from the One who will never leave or forsake you.

Anything worth having is … well … worth having. Nobody promised life would be easy, but God did promise you a life full of abundance and provision. Go out on a limb and do what it takes to claim the promises already prescribed to you. You are going to go through trials anyway; you might as well have a prize waiting for you on the other side.
