Meet the founder
Ebony Wright is the founder of Marriage PLANS (Preparation and the Lifelong Applications Necessary for Success) and author of Before He Finds You. She developed a passion for marriage at a young age and knew that it was something to be honored. Shortly after becoming a single mom, Ebony decided to leave the dating scene altogether to prepare herself for marriage—in the absence of a potential mate! While she filled her time with completing two degrees, serving in ministry, being a single mom and working, she also absorbed every resource she could about marriage, and becoming a wife. It wasn't until she surrendered her demands and found sufficiency in God alone that Ebony and her soon-to-be-husband met. Despite the doubts of others, God gave her everything she desired in a husband, plus more!
After two years of marriage, God revealed to Ebony the purpose behind her very unique journey: to share what He had taught her with other women so that they could experience the blessings and presence of God in their marriages as well. What started as a simple workbook, soon flourished into a full-blown ministry that empowers women to become all that God created them to be. For those presented with the opportunity to marry, it allows them to enter marriage with sobriety and wisdom. The first book, Before He Finds You, gained reverence and popularity and became the basis for the highly favored small group study (by the same title) that allows women to connect as they embark upon the amazing journey of becoming whole.
Joyfully married, Ebony and her husband are enjoying the fruit of their labor and love through their family of five children, their spouses, and a growing number of grandchildren. Ebony earned her master's degree in Practical Theology from The King's University in Southlake, Texas.
